About Jill M. Spoelstra
Jill Spoelstra is a historical fiction author who loves uncovering the forgotten stories hidden within history’s most transformative moments. Drawn to the intersection of research and compelling storytelling, she writes immersive novels that bring the past to life through the eyes of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances.
Her debut novel, The Lights Beneath Paris, explores the hidden world beneath occupied Paris, weaving together dual perspectives, historical intrigue, and the enduring resilience of the human spirit.
A passionate advocate for literacy, Jill believes books have the power to change lives, broaden perspectives, and transport readers across centuries and continents. She is a supporter of the Little Free Library movement and believes every book has the potential to open a door—to a new place, a new perspective, or a deeper understanding of what it means to be human. Through reading, we experience lives, places, and perspectives we might never otherwise encounter—a gift she hopes to pass on through her own stories.
Jill lives in Florida with her husband and children. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
